Expanding The "Where Are They Now" Section

I started the "where are they now" posts with on air people I worked with, those who were across town at the time. Expanded to people who worked here while I was working in corporate TV. I'll eventually add people who were on air before my time and some readers have already sent leads to that end.

At Mark's party over the weekend, former WMBD director Eric Peterson (an admitted fan of the blog, thanks E) suggested I expand to non on air folks. I keep in touch with as many behind the scenes people as I do on air types, but as I explained to Eric, people who take an on air job give up a certain amount of anonymity to begin with... you can find many of them via Google whether or not I did the posts. If you're a producer, director or photog, you don't necessarily sign up for that if that makes sense.

I've decided when I do talk or exchange e-mail with non on air people, that if they'd like to be contacted, I will add them to the list. If that's you and you've been reading, but not posting, please drop me an e-mail or post a comment and let's catch up!

I don't know about any of that balderdash, but I can tell you that WMBD's prodigy photographer Dan McCollister is the best thing to hit Peoria since Pabst Blue Ribbon. Every time he goes out on stories he is prodded by so called "veteran" photographers for advice. Many have even called Dan the Ansel Adams of news. Those people are totally smart. In conclusion, Dan is far too busy for this journal bussiness. -Dan McCollister (really)

you know, that wouldn't surprise me if that really was Dan....

A prodigy photographer that can't even get colors right....yeah....use a 3200k frezzi in 5600k sunlight...good idea, prodigy.

Maybe, but at least Dan doesn't play Dungeons and Dragons on the weekend...and wear a phanypack. Dan will now go back to being way awesome and referring to himself in the 3rd person.

Based on the time and source of the last sarcastic entry and in the immortal words of former WMBD producer Tracy O'Brien...

"Hey, you know what you need to get?"

"Over it."
